Role Overview

As an IT Teacher at you will play a crucial role in equipping students with essential digital skills and knowledge. You will deliver engaging and interactive IT lessons that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and proficiency in technology. Your expertise will empower students to navigate the digital landscape confidently and prepare them for future career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Comprehensive Lessons: Plan and deliver dynamic IT lessons.

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a relevant and progressive IT curriculum aligned with national standards and the school's educational objectives.

  • Facilitate Hands-On Learning: Create opportunities for practical, hands-on learning experiences using the latest technology tools and software.

  • Assess Student Progress: Evaluate and monitor student performance, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their understanding and skills in IT.

  • Promote Digital Citizenship: Foster responsible and ethical use of technology among students, emphasising digital safety and citizenship principles.

  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with other teachers and departments to integrate technology across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning.

  • Commit to Student Success: Uphold the school's commitment to academic achievement, student well-being, and holistic development.

Desired experience

  • A passion for Education. Enthusiasm for inspiring and motivating students to excel in IT and pursue further studies or careers in technology.

  • Proven experience teaching IT at the secondary school level.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full creative potential.

  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
