Teaching Assistant - Chester
Location: Chester, Cheshire
Salary: £83.33-£95

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, offering one-to-one support to students and assisting with classroom management. You will be an essential part of the school's educational team, aiding in the academic, social, and emotional development of students across various key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Classroom Instruction: Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons, tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Individual & Group Support: Provide additional support to students who require extra help, ensuring they reach their learning objectives and succeed.
  • Differentiated Learning: Adapt lesson materials and resources to cater to individual learning needs, ensuring that all students can fully access the curriculum.
  • Behavioural Support: Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment, assisting students with emotional or behavioural challenges.
  • Monitoring Progress: Help track and assess the progress of students to ensure their learning goals are achieved.
  • Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Contribute to the school's commitment to safeguarding, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A passion for education and supporting student's personal and academic development.
  • A clear DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).
