Salary: £23,114 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Full-time / Long-term

About the Role
Simply Education are seeking a Level 1 -3Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnered schools in Manchester. This role involves supporting pupils with behavioural, social, and emotional needs (SEMH) to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about behaviour support, emotional regulation, and inclusive education, particularly within alternative provision or SEMH settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural or additional learning needs.
Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and positive behaviour management.
Promote pupil engagement, emotional resilience, and social development through encouragement and consistency.
Support pupils using de-escalation strategies and evidence-based behaviour interventions.
Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment for all learners.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to ensure effective pupil progress and wellbeing.
Requirements
Team Teach, MAPA, or PRICE qualification (essential) - only candidates holding one of these behaviour management certifications can be considered.
Experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, or community setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
Good understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Desirable
Level 1 or 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience within an SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision environment.
Familiarity with restorative practice and trauma-informed approaches.
