Teaching Assistant / Phonics Support (Primary School - Louth Area)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until July 2026
Hours: Approx. 3.5 hours per day
Pay: Hourly rate or half-day rate (depending on experience)
Simply Education are working with a small primary school to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant with strong Read Write Inc. (RWI) experience.
This is a long-term role offering consistency through to July 2026, supporting phonics sessions each morning followed by afternoon interventions.
Working Pattern:
10:00am - 12:00pm: RWI / Phonics support
12:00pm - 12:30pm: Lunch
12:30pm - 1:00pm: Lunchtime sports club
1:00pm - 2:00pm: Intervention support
(The lunchtime sports club ensures the role remains paid across the day.)
The Role:
Supporting and delivering RWI/phonics sessions
Running targeted intervention groups
Leading a short lunchtime sports activity
Supporting pupils' reading progress and confidence
Working closely with teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven Read Write Inc. (RWI) experience - essential
Primary school experience
Confident working with small groups
Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed long-term
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
