Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Wigan
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Simply Education is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Wigan. We have day-to-day, short-term, and long-term opportunities available, offering flexibility while allowing you to make a real difference in pupils' education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students in lessons, both one-to-one and in small groups
Assisting the class teacher with delivering engaging and structured lessons
Providing additional support to students with SEND where required
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Preparing classroom resources and assisting with administrative tasks
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to:
Have previous experience working in a UK secondary school (or relevant educational setting)
Be confident supporting students with varying abilities and needs
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Have a genuine passion for supporting young people in education
Be able to provide suitable references
Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
Have the Right to Work in the UK
