Teaching Assistant - Winsford

Job description

Teaching Assistant - Full Time
Outstanding Special School, Winsford

We're looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic secondary special school in Winsford, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. This is a full-time, term-time role working Monday to Friday, with the benefit of finishing at 3:30pm every day - giving you a great work-life balance.

The school supports pupils with a wide range of needs including moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and complex special educational needs and disabilities (SEND / SEN). With smaller class sizes and a nurturing, child-centred approach, staff can build meaningful relationships and make a lasting impact. Learning here isn't limited to the classroom - pupils take part in swimming, community visits, and educational trips, helping them develop vital life skills and confidence.

What's on offer:

  • Full-time, term-time role, Monday to Friday (finish at 3:30pm).

  • Competitive pay rates, paid weekly.

  • Smaller class groups where you can make a real difference.

  • Ongoing training, CPD, and support to develop your SEN expertise.

  • A varied curriculum including swimming, trips, and outdoor learning.

  • A welcoming, supportive school community.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people, either in SEND, SEN, SLD, or mainstream secondary schools.

  • Qualifications in childcare, education, or related fields are preferred but not essential - we value personality, enthusiasm, and commitment most of all.

  • Someone patient, caring, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.

  • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check if not already in place.

  • Able to provide satisfactory references.

Why work with Simply Education?

  • Your own dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.

  • Access to specialist SEN/SLD training and CPD.

  • Competitive weekly pay and transparent communication.

  • A trusted agency with strong partnerships with schools in Cheshire.

  • Guidance and support if you're new to working in SEN.

If you're looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant job in Winsford where you can support pupils with moderate, severe and complex learning difficulties, we'd love to hear from you.
