Pay: £130 - £150 per day, dependent on payroll choice

This independent special school in Congleton, Cheshire, supports pupils aged 8-18 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will provide one-to-one or small group support, helping students who may have fallen behind or need additional guidance. You will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons and ensuring students make progress in their academic and personal development. You'll work closely with staff to create a nurturing learning environment that supports each student's needs and encourages their growth.
As a Tutor, you will:
- Provide one-to-one or small group tuition across a range of subjects, tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
- Help students with SEND build their confidence and develop academic skills.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
- Foster positive and supportive relationships with students, encouraging both their academic and personal growth.
- Work alongside teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Create an inclusive and safe learning environment where students feel motivated to learn.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or relevant tutoring experience.
- A passion for working with students with SEND and the ability to adapt lessons to suit their needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to teaching.
- Experience working in a special education setting (desirable but not essential).
- A commitment to student success and continuous professional development.
