About the Role
Simply Education are working with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school who are seeking a Year 2 Teacher to join their team after the Easter half term, subject to a successful interview.

This is a full-time role (5 days per week) and includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation and marking. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils at the end of Key Stage 1, ensuring they are confidently prepared for their transition into Year 3.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

  • Be confident delivering phonics and core subjects in line with end of KS1 expectations

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and clear classroom routines

  • Be organised, proactive and committed to contributing positively to school life

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • All safeguarding and vetting checks completed in line with statutory guidance
