They are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their dedicated team and support our pupils through the important transition to secondary school.

The Role:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact during this key stage, helping children prepare for their SATs and beyond. You will work in close collaboration with a supportive team of staff and leadership, ensuring that every pupil reaches their full potential and that their emotional and academic needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Year 6 curriculum and meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Foster an inspiring and positive classroom atmosphere to promote effective learning.
  • Prepare students for their SATs assessments, offering support and guidance in a variety of subjects.
  • Assess and track students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to support whole-school initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, providing encouragement and support.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with a focus on Year 6.
  • Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire pupils.
  • A passion for helping children succeed both academically and personally.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to continuing professional development.
