Computer Science Teacher - Immediate Start

Simply Education is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Tunstall area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to deliver high‑quality Computer Science teaching within a supportive and forward‑thinking department. The school is looking to appoint immediately and welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and well‑structured Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach key topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, cybersecurity and computational thinking
Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
Support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring strong progress for all learners
Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and collaborative projects
Provide constructive feedback to support pupil attainment
Participate in wider school life including duties, parents' evenings and CPD opportunities
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and related technologies
Ability to inspire and motivate learners through creative and practical teaching
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Confident classroom management and excellent communication skills
