We are currently working with a secondary school in Crewe to recruit a Science Teacher for a full-time role starting in April, with the opportunity for ad-hoc supply cover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics

  • Safely plan and deliver practical experiments

  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff team

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Must-Have Skills

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science

  • Confident classroom and behaviour management

  • Ability to deliver practical lessons safely

  • Clear communication and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

  • Nice to Have

  • GCSE and KS4 exam experience

  • Specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics

  • SEND, SEMH or intervention experience

  • Experience using assessment data to support pupil progress
