We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, or experienced school staff who want to gain valuable classroom experience.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to supervise pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher. You will ensure students remain engaged, follow behaviour policies, and maintain a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
- Delivering pre-set lesson materials provided by the teacher
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting students to stay on task with their work
- Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work etc.)
- Strong classroom or group behaviour management skills
- Confidence leading a class of students aged 11-16
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and professional attitude
