Daily Supply Teacher - Colchester (Flexible / Ad Hoc)

Location: Colchester & surrounding area, Essex
Contract type: Day‑to‑day / temporary / flexible
Start date: Immediate / as available
Pay: £140 - £180 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible teacher to provide daily supply cover across primary and/or secondary schools in the Colchester area. You will support schools in covering short‑term teacher absences, delivering pre‑planned lessons and helping to maintain continuity for students.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering lessons in line with school plans and curriculum guidelines

• Managing classes and behaviour in line with the school's policies

• Completing required administrative tasks (registers, reporting, etc.)

• Providing handovers and liaising with staff as necessary

• Adapting to different school settings and subject matter

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Recent classroom experience (primary or secondary)

• Strong behaviour management skills

• Flexibility to work across different schools, subjects or key stages

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
