English Teacher - Immediate Start

Simply Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a well‑established secondary school in the Stafford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to make a real impact within a supportive and forward‑thinking English department. The school is looking to appoint immediately, and welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and strong ECTs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well‑structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum

• Support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring progress for all learners

• Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive learning environment

• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and collaborative curriculum development

• Provide constructive feedback to support pupil progress and attainment

• Participate in wider school life, including duties, parents' evenings and CPD

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

• Ability to inspire, motivate and engage secondary learners

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Confident classroom management and excellent communication skills
