Through creative, engaging lessons and a nurturing approach, you will help students rediscover confidence in their abilities and develop the literacy skills they need for future success.
You will work within a collaborative environment where staff are passionate about creating inclusive, supportive classrooms that prioritise both academic progress and student wellbeing.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons that inspire students and promote strong progress
Monitor and assess student achievement, tracking progress and adapting teaching where needed
Support the development of literacy across the school
Work collaboratively with the SENCO to identify and support students who require additional intervention
Contribute to PSHE and RHSE programmes where appropriate
Create a positive, structured learning environment that encourages engagement and confidence
Support the mental health and wellbeing of students
Play an active role in the development of the curriculum and wider school initiatives
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a teacher who:
Holds QTS or QTLS and is a qualified English Teacher
Has strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding in English
Can motivate and inspire students, setting high expectations for all learners
Is confident working with disengaged or disconnected learners
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability within the curriculum
Is passionate about improving outcomes and supporting student wellbeing
Is committed to raising student attainment and engagement
Has experience contributing to whole-school teaching and learning strategies (desirable)
Can inspire a genuine love of learning and reading
