English Teacher - Secondary Schools
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Salary: £150 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Simply Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Stockport from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of literature, language, and learning in a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring progress and attainment for all ability levels.
Promote a strong culture of literacy, critical thinking, and creative expression.
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school and national expectations.
Contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives and extracurricular enrichment activities.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
Specialism in English Language and/or Literature, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with learners.
Effective organisational and communication skills.
Suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners.
