Simply Education is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Oxford, to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time role, 5 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is confident leading learning, supporting class teachers, and making a positive impact on pupils' progress.

The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Support teaching and learning across the primary age range
• Work with individuals and small groups to raise attainment
• Assist with planning, preparation and assessment
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and senior staff to support pupil progress

Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience working in a UK primary school
• Confidence covering classes and leading learning
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
