📌 ICT / Computer Science Teacher - Secondary School

Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex, UK
Position Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable ICT / Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Southend-on-Sea on a full-time contract or supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will plan and teach engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire students and support their academic progress.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching ICT and Computer Science, including coding, programming and digital literacy

• Planning lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Managing classroom behaviour effectively

• Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching ICT and/or Computer Science at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities

• A professional, reliable and adaptable approach
