About the Role

Simply Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and adaptable KS1 Supply Teacher to work full-time in primary schools across East Kent starting from September 2025. This role is ideal for qualified teachers with a passion for Key Stage 1 who are confident delivering lessons in a variety of school settings.

You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. There is no planning or marking required, though expectations may vary based on the length of the role and school-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach pre-set lessons in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2)
• Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment
• Use strong behaviour management techniques to maintain learning standards
• Adapt quickly to the expectations of different schools
• Follow all safeguarding and school policies

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Experience teaching in KS1 classrooms
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Confident, flexible, and proactive approach
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
