We are seeking to appoint an qualified and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant - special needs to join the mixed primary with secondary special needs school in Peterborough. The Academy works with pupils and young people who have a diagnosis of ASD.

About the role:

The successful teaching assistant will assist the class teacher to carry out a range of activities to promote learning and development. This will include working on a one to one basis and in small groups.

You will be:
* keen to learn with a positive outlook
* able to work on your own initiative
* experienced in working with pupils
* able to work as part of a team
* willing to undertake training
* have the skills to engage and motivate all our pupils.

You will need to be able demonstrate you can develop relationships, be caring, flexible and an excellent communicator.

A relevant NVQ or equivalent, along with previous experience special school or SEND experience and knowledge of pastoral interventions, safeguarding, social and communication support for pupils is advantageous.
