Maths Teacher - SEMH School (Widnes)
Salary: MSP
Contract: Full time or Part Time
Start Date: January 2026

Simply Education is recruiting an experienced and passionate Maths Teacher on behalf of a specialist SEMH provision in Widnes. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Maths Teacher who wants to support vulnerable young people and help them re-engage with learning in a highly supportive environment. This role could become permanet position for the right person.

The Role

We are seeking a Maths Teacher who can deliver engaging and adaptive lessons across KS3 and KS4. As a Maths Teacher, you will support pupils in developing confidence, emotional regulation and a positive attitude towards education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons tailored to SEMH needs.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with learners.
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral and behavioural teams.
  • Contribute to personalised plans, target setting and progress reviews.
  • Maintain a restorative, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Who We're Looking For

  • A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS/ECT welcome).
  • Someone resilient, patient and motivated to help young people overcome barriers.
  • Experience in SEMH, alternative provision or mainstream (desirable but not essential).
  • A practitioner who can model and uphold the school's values.
