We are supporting a fantastic school in Kettering who are looking for a nursery assistant to join their team from April to support them within the nursery time. The school are looking for a nursery assistant who is at least Level 2 qualified. Their Early Years provision is at the heart of their school community, and they are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their dedicated team.

As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the Nursery Teacher and Early Years team in delivering high-quality learning experiences for children aged 3-4 years. You will help create a positive, engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and develop.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging Early Years activities in line with the EYFS framework

• Assist with the supervision and care of children throughout the school day

• Promote children's learning through play-based activities

• Help monitor and record children's progress

• Support children's personal, social, and emotional development

• Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents/carers

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)

• Experience working with young children in a nursery or school setting

• A warm, patient, and nurturing approach

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

• A commitment to supporting inclusion and equality
