PE Teacher - Immediate Start

Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent Contract: Full‑time | Long‑term Start Date: Immediate Agency: Simply Education

Simply Education is seeking an energetic and committed PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Hanley area. The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire pupils, deliver high‑quality practical and theory lessons, and promote a positive culture of health, fitness and teamwork. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Teach a broad curriculum including team sports, individual activities and fitness‑based units

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with school expectations

• Promote sportsmanship and positive behaviour during lessons and extracurricular activities

• Maintain a safe, well‑organised environment for practical sessions

• Contribute to after‑school clubs, fixtures and whole‑school sporting events

• Provide clear feedback to support pupil progress

• Participate in duties, parents' evenings and CPD opportunities

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education

• Ability to motivate and challenge learners through practical and theory‑based teaching

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Confident behaviour management and strong communication skills
