PE Teacher - Immediate Start
Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent Contract: Full‑time | Long‑term Start Date: Immediate Agency: Simply Education
Simply Education is seeking an energetic and committed PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Hanley area. The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire pupils, deliver high‑quality practical and theory lessons, and promote a positive culture of health, fitness and teamwork. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach a broad curriculum including team sports, individual activities and fitness‑based units
Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with school expectations
Promote sportsmanship and positive behaviour during lessons and extracurricular activities
Maintain a safe, well‑organised environment for practical sessions
Contribute to after‑school clubs, fixtures and whole‑school sporting events
Provide clear feedback to support pupil progress
Participate in duties, parents' evenings and CPD opportunities
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education
Ability to motivate and challenge learners through practical and theory‑based teaching
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Confident behaviour management and strong communication skills
