PE Teacher - Crewe

Location: Crewe
Role: Physical Education (PE) Teacher
Contract: Full-time / Long-term (with potential for permanent opportunities)
Start Date: ASAP or next term

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a supportive school in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to promoting physical activity, teamwork, and positive wellbeing among students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles

  • Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe and inclusive learning environment

  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress

  • Adapt activities to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND pupils

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities

  • Contribute to extracurricular sports activities where appropriate

  • Work collaboratively with staff and support teams

  • Must-Have Skills & Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Good to Have

  • Experience teaching PE across KS3 and KS4

  • Experience working with SEND or SEMH pupils

  • Coaching qualifications in specific sports

  • Ability to lead or support extracurricular sports clubs

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
