We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic School-Based Youth Worker to join a supportive organisation in Great Yarmouth that's committed to helping young people thrive.

The Role:
You'll engage and support young people aged 11-18, helping them build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. Working as part of a dynamic team, you'll deliver a range of youth programmes, mentoring sessions, and community projects aimed at promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships with young people through outreach and centre-based work
  • Plan and deliver engaging group activities and workshops
  • Provide 1:1 mentoring and emotional support
  • Encourage participation in education, training, and employment opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with schools, families, and local services
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people in a school, youth, or community setting
  • A compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Youth Work Level 2/3, Social Care, or Education) are desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
