Science Teacher - Secondary School - Staffordshire
£150-£200 per day (dependent on experience)
Full-time / Part-time | Immediate & Ongoing Roles Available
Simply Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to work across a variety of supportive and well‑established secondary schools in Staffordshire. We are recruiting for daily supply, short‑term cover, and long‑term teaching positions depending on your preference and availability.
This role is ideal for both experienced Science Teachers and ECTs who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics.
Location & School Information
- Secondary schools across Staffordshire

- Mixture of whole‑class teaching, practical lessons and small group interventions

- Mixed KS3-KS4 classes

Start Date & Contract Details
- Immediate, April and September starts available
- Daily supply, short‑term and long‑term roles
- Temp‑to‑perm opportunities
- Full‑time and part‑time hours considered
- Contract duration varies by school
Hours & Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Typically 8:15am-3:30pm
- Part‑time options available
Salary & Pay
- £150-£200 per day
- PAYE available
- Pay reflective of experience and responsibility level
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned Science lessons
- Teach Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics across KS3 and KS4
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations
- Mark and assess student work for long‑term roles
- Maintain behaviour standards and a positive learning environment
- Support practical experiments and lab safety
- Contribute to departmental planning where required
- Follow safeguarding policies at all times
Requirements & Qualifications
- QTS, QTLS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
- Recent experience teaching secondary Science
- Strong subject knowledge
- Effective behaviour management skills
- Flexible, proactive and committed approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
