Location: Lowestoft
Hourly Rate: £13.68 - £14.90
Contract: Monday - Friday (0830 - 1530)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lowestoft is seeking a Sen Teaching Assistant to join its supportive and dedicated team.

About the Role:

In this key role, you will work closely with the SENCo and classroom teachers to support pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they have every opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will also play a vital role in leading and mentoring other support staff and contributing to the wider development of the school's inclusive practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted interventions and in-class support for pupils with a range of SEN
  • Assist in planning and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to review meetings and EHCPs
  • Support the emotional wellbeing and personal development of pupils
  • Collaborate with external professionals and families as needed
  • Model best practices and support other TAs in their roles

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
  • A relevant Level 3 qualification or higher
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, resilient, and flexible approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners to achieve their full potential
