Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term Time Only

Simply Education is proud to be working with a specialist SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in Peterborough to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and making a lasting difference in their lives.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviour using a positive and therapeutic approach
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Support students in developing essential social skills, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Implement and monitor personalised learning and behaviour support plans

🔹 What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or support settings)
  • High levels of patience, resilience, and empathy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, term time only)
  • A genuine commitment to helping young learners achieve their potential
