About the Role:

Simply Education is working closely with a dedicated SEN school in Royston, to recruit a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require tailored and consistent support in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to aid learning, development, and emotional regulation.
• Assisting with personal care and other care-related tasks where necessary.
• Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
• A background in care (healthcare, residential care, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and patience.
• Ability to adapt and respond to challenging behaviour.
• A proactive and resilient attitude.
