SEN Teaching Assistant - Thanet

About the Role
Simply Education are working closely with a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools across Thanet who are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.

This is a flexible supply role, ideal for those who want to choose the days they work while keeping the structure of a full school day. You'll be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to access learning and feel confident in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties
  • Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to follow support plans
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Providing a calm, supportive and patient approach throughout the school day

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)
  • A caring, reliable and adaptable attitude
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
