SEN Teaching Assistant - Sittingbourne

About the Role
Simply Education are working closely with a number of welcoming primary schools in the Sittingbourne area who are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs. These roles can be on a day-to-day supply, short-term or longer-term basis, depending on your availability and preferences.

You may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or working within small groups, helping to create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH
  • Support learning both in and out of the classroom
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Help pupils with emotional regulation and engagement
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or care-based)
  • A patient, caring and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Two suitable references
