About the Role

Simply Education is looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with special educational needs in schools across Maidstone. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the classroom, helping children with additional needs to thrive in their education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with special educational needs in both 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Assist the class teacher with adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage students' confidence, independence, and social development.
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in an SEN or classroom setting is beneficial but not essential.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • A willingness to undertake training and professional development.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • All applicants will be subject to our safeguarding and vetting checks.
