Supply Teacher - Chelmsford

We are currently recruiting dedicated, adaptable, and enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work across a variety of primary and secondary schools in Chelmsford and the surrounding Essex area. Role Overview

As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in the absence of the usual class teacher. You will follow pre-prepared lesson plans, ensure continuity of learning, and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. You will quickly adapt to different schools, policies, and age groups while upholding high standards of teaching and behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects and year groups

• Follow lesson plans and adapt where necessary to meet pupils' needs

• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

• Manage pupil behaviour in line with individual school policies

• Assess and provide feedback on pupils' work when required

• Liaise professionally with school staff and report on pupil progress and behaviour

• Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the wellbeing of all pupils

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Previous experience teaching in UK primary or secondary schools

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and expectations

• A flexible, positive, and professional attitude

• Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Right to work in the UK
