📍 Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Education Support Worker to join a supportive school in High Wycombe, working closely with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners by helping them access education in a way that suits their individual needs.

Whether you're experienced in SEN or looking to take your first steps into education support, this role offers excellent training and development in a welcoming and inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of special needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Help manage behaviour in a positive, respectful, and proactive way.
  • Support pupils with their emotional and social development.
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement and review learning strategies and care plans.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with special needs (in schools or similar settings) is desirable but not essential.
  • Calm, patient and resilient with excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Able to work flexibly as part of a collaborative team.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to apply for one).
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
