Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and in small group settings

• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

• Encourage positive behaviour using consistent strategies

• Support pupils with SEND/SEMH needs where required

• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Must-Have Skills & Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people

• Team Teach or MAPA training (essential)

• Strong communication skills and patience

• Ability to follow school policies and behaviour plans

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in SEND or SEMH settings

• Additional behaviour management or de-escalation training

• Classroom-based experience as a Teaching Assistant
