Key Responsibilities
Support pupils in the classroom and in small group settings
Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
Encourage positive behaviour using consistent strategies
Support pupils with SEND/SEMH needs where required
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Must-Have Skills & Requirements
Experience working with children or young people
Team Teach or MAPA training (essential)
Strong communication skills and patience
Ability to follow school policies and behaviour plans
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Nice to Have
Previous experience in SEND or SEMH settings
Additional behaviour management or de-escalation training
Classroom-based experience as a Teaching Assistant
