Simply Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Qualified Textiles Teacher (QTS) to join a welcoming secondary school in Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and develop their creativity, technical skills, and confidence in textiles and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Textiles and Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
• Teach core textile techniques such as sewing, fabric manipulation, surface design, and garment construction.
• Encourage creativity, experimentation, and independent design thinking.
• Assess and monitor student progress in line with curriculum requirements.
• Maintain a safe and organised classroom/workshop environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching Textiles or Design Technology in a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Is passionate about creative education and inspiring young designers.
• Can work collaboratively with the wider department.
