Job Vacancy: Year 1 & 2 Primary Teacher - Grantham

Simply Education is working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Grantham to recruit a dedicated Long-Term Primary Teacher to take on a mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class from September 2025. This is a full-time position for the duration of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role:

This role involves taking full classroom responsibility for a mixed Year 1 and 2 class. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and confident teacher who can deliver engaging and creative lessons while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You'll work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to ensure every child makes strong progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Differentiate teaching to support a range of abilities, including SEN pupils

• Assess and track pupil progress, using data to inform teaching

• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with staff to contribute to the wider life of the school

• Maintain strong communication with parents and carers

• Ensure high standards of behaviour and safeguarding practices

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in KS1, preferably both Year 1 and Year 2

• Strong understanding of early phonics, assessment, and KS1 curriculum

• Excellent classroom management and organisation skills

• A nurturing and reflective approach to teaching

• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
