Location: Newark-on-Trent
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS1 - MPS6)

Simply Education is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and inclusive primary school located in Newark-on-Trent, which is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a mixed group across Year 1 and Year 2, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in accordance with national expectations. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire, challenge, and support all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.

  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress using school systems and assessment frameworks.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND or additional learning requirements.

  • Establish effective communication with parents, carers, and colleagues to support pupil development and wellbeing.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participation in staff meetings, training opportunities, and school events.

  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and classroom management.

What we looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (either Year 1 or Year 2) is highly desirable; however, strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • confident with planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all learners
