Job Advertisement: Qualified Primary Teacher - Year 3/4 Class - Newark-on-Trent

Simply Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-respected primary school in Newark-on-Trent to recruit a qualified Primary Teacher to take on the teaching of a mixed Year 3/4 class on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to become part of a supportive school community that prioritises both pupil progress and staff wellbeing.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Year 3/4 Class Teacher

  • Location: Newark-on-Trent

  • Start Date: As soon as possible or by mutual agreement

  • Schedule: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

  • Pay: Main Pay Scale 1 to 6 (£31,737 - £43,685 depending on experience)

  • Contract Type: Long-term supply (potential for permanent appointment)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of a mixed Year 3/4 cohort

  • Undertake planning, marking, and assessment responsibilities in line with school policy

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Monitor and track pupil progress, reporting to SLT and parents as required

  • Contribute to the wider school community and attend relevant meetings or training

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience teaching in KS2, ideally with mixed year groups

  • Strong classroom management and effective communication skills

  • A commitment to supporting all pupils to reach their full potential

  • A collaborative and flexible approach to teaching
