Job description
We are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teacher on behalf of a supportive primary school. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated teacher who is confident teaching Upper Key Stage 2 and supporting pupils through a crucial stage of their education, including SATs preparation.
The Role:
- Teaching a Year 6 class in line with the National Curriculum
- Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons
- Preparing pupils for KS2 SATs and supporting academic progress
- Assessing, tracking and reporting pupil attainment and progress
- Providing pastoral support and promoting pupil well being
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (ECTs welcome, with support)
- Has experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Has a strong understanding of KS2 curriculum and SATs requirements
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Holds or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service
