Location: Brentwood, Essex
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (Fringe Allowance where applicable)
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed Teacher of Business Studies to join a successful and forward-thinking secondary education setting in the Brentwood area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons and inspire students to develop a strong understanding of the modern business world.
The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4 with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience and qualifications. The role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Business Studies lessons that meet curriculum requirements
Teach a range of Business Studies qualifications, including GCSE and potentially A-Level or vocational courses
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Use a variety of teaching strategies to support students of differing abilities
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
Participate fully in staff meetings, training, and wider school activities
Support students' academic and personal development through effective pastoral care
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
The ability to deliver well-structured, engaging lessons
Excellent classroom management skills
High levels of organisation, commitment, and professionalism
A genuine passion for teaching and learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to contribute positively to the wider school community
