This is an exciting opportunity for a drama specialist who is passionate about the performing arts and believes in the power of drama to build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and empathy in young people.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
Deliver high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with KS5 opportunities for the right candidate)
Design and teach engaging schemes of work that balance practical performance, theory, and evaluation
Use a range of teaching approaches, practitioners, and styles to inspire students of all abilities
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to take creative risks
Assess, track, and support student progress effectively
Play a key role in school productions, showcases, and extracurricular drama clubs, helping to enrich the wider cultural life of the school
Contribute positively to the Performing Arts department and the school community as a whole
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Drama and theatre
Is a reflective and creative practitioner with high expectations of students
Can motivate, challenge, and support learners of all backgrounds and abilities
Is organised, proactive, and eager to contribute beyond the classroom
Is open to professional development and collaboration
