Job description

Simply Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and inspiring Qualified Drama Teacher (QTS) to join a dynamic secondary school in Northamptonshire starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative educator to engage students through performance, storytelling, and theatre while developing their confidence and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Encourage creativity, performance skills, and confidence through practical drama activities.
  • Prepare students for performances, productions, and assessments.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with the curriculum.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching Drama in a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is passionate about performing arts and student engagement.
  • Can inspire students of all abilities to participate and develop their performance skills.
