Job Title: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish & French)
Location: Braintree, Essex (Secondary School: Ages 11-18)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Start January 2026)
Salary: MPS/UPS (£32,916 - £51,048 p.a., depending on experience)

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in Spanish and French across Key Stages 3 & 4 (and ideally KS5)

• Monitor, assess and report on student progress

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the MFL curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and CPD

• Support extracurricular language activities and cultural trips (where applicable) Uphold the school's values and safeguarding policies

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Demonstrable experience teaching French and Spanish in the UK context (KS3 & KS4)

• Excellent subject knowledge in both languages, strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students

• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing
