💰 £90-£95 per day

We are looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our lovely three form entry primary school in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners and developing a rewarding career in education and training.

The Role

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stage 1, working closely with the class teacher and wider support staff. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional and complex needs including ASD, ADHD, and Dyslexia.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils across KS1 with their learning and development.

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.

  • Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson delivery.

  • Supporting targeted interventions to help pupils make strong progress.

  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine interest in working in education and training.

  • Has experience supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, or Dyslexia (desirable but not essential).

  • Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic about working with young children.

  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and pupils.

  • Is committed to supporting pupils in a supportive Colchester school environment.
