The Role

As the new PE Teacher you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

• Lead and promote a culture of fitness, wellbeing, teamwork and sportsmanship.

• Organise and oversee extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures and activities.

• Ensure safe use of facilities and equipment, maintain high standards of behaviour in practical and theory lessons.

• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback and contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

Person Specification

The school are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Early Career Teachers welcome).

• Has a specialism in Physical Education and a passion for sport and student development.

• Demonstrates excellent behaviour management, motivational and organisational skills.

• Is committed to inclusive practice, confident working with students of different abilities.

• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, and meets safeguarding checks.
