The Role
As the new PE Teacher you will:
Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Lead and promote a culture of fitness, wellbeing, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Organise and oversee extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures and activities.
Ensure safe use of facilities and equipment, maintain high standards of behaviour in practical and theory lessons.
Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback and contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Person Specification
The school are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Early Career Teachers welcome).
Has a specialism in Physical Education and a passion for sport and student development.
Demonstrates excellent behaviour management, motivational and organisational skills.
Is committed to inclusive practice, confident working with students of different abilities.
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, and meets safeguarding checks.
