PE Teacher - Immediate Start
Location: Stafford, Staffordshire Contract: Full‑time | Long‑term Start Date: Immediate Agency: Simply Education
Simply Education is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher for a secondary school in the Stafford area. The school is seeking someone who can deliver high‑quality practical and theory lessons, promote a positive sporting culture and inspire pupils to lead active, healthy lives. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons
Cover a broad curriculum including team sports, individual activities and fitness‑based units
Plan, deliver and assess learning in line with school and national expectations
Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork and positive behaviour in all activities
Maintain a safe, organised environment for practical sessions
Support extracurricular provision, including after‑school clubs and fixtures
Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupil progress
Contribute to wider school life, including duties, meetings and CPD
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education
Ability to motivate and challenge learners through practical and theory‑based teaching
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Confident behaviour management and strong communication skills
