PE Teacher - Immediate Start

Location: Stafford, Staffordshire Contract: Full‑time | Long‑term Start Date: Immediate Agency: Simply Education

Simply Education is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher for a secondary school in the Stafford area. The school is seeking someone who can deliver high‑quality practical and theory lessons, promote a positive sporting culture and inspire pupils to lead active, healthy lives. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons

• Cover a broad curriculum including team sports, individual activities and fitness‑based units

• Plan, deliver and assess learning in line with school and national expectations

• Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork and positive behaviour in all activities

• Maintain a safe, organised environment for practical sessions

• Support extracurricular provision, including after‑school clubs and fixtures

• Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupil progress

• Contribute to wider school life, including duties, meetings and CPD

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education

• Ability to motivate and challenge learners through practical and theory‑based teaching

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Confident behaviour management and strong communication skills
