Contract: Full-time (5 days per week)
Salary: Paid in line with the Teachers' Pay Scale

About the Role

As a primary class teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, creating a positive classroom environment, and ensuring all pupils make excellent progress. You will play a key role in shaping pupils' academic, social, and emotional development through high standards of education and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress and attainment

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs

  • Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Contribute to the development of the wider curriculum and school initiatives

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continued professional development in education and training

  • Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • A passion for delivering high-quality education and training

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A commitment to inclusive practice and pupil achievement
