About the Role
As a primary class teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging lessons, creating a positive classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils. You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of education and training across your class.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress and attainment
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school initiatives
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing education and training
Support the safeguarding, wellbeing, and personal development of all pupils
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A passion for delivering high-quality education and training
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to inclusion and raising pupil achievement
