Salary: Paid in line with the Teachers' Pay Scale

About the Role

As a primary class teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, creating a positive and engaging classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils. You will play a central role in ensuring pupils receive excellent education and training tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress and attainment

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school initiatives

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing education and training

  • Support the safeguarding, wellbeing, and personal development of all pupils

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • A passion for delivering high-quality education and training

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to inclusion and raising pupil achievement
